Obituary

Through the course of Grace's life she always had to put up with a lot of upsets turmoils and joys. In order to get to the good days she would have to endure things that most human beings would never have been willing to share or talk about out loud in public she would always say to me if the world's going to throw you a curve and make things worse always put the bus up on two wheels cuz you get less mileage and more done and sometimes even escape the actual hardship that you're running from in order to get to the better side of the equation.

Her work ethic was a phenomenal portion of what made her a somewhat superhuman hero in our household she would go out early in the morning 5:00 to 6:00 a.m. get started for the day do the work around the farm and then after she got through with pending her duties at home she would go and drive School bus morning and night and then come home totally exasperated and tired from the energy that she had expressed throughout the day. She never gave up she was boundless with determination and internal fortitude. Most people in public would know her by her intensity to share her own personal experience or actually be an active part of the conversation in order for her to share actual knowledge or viewpoints of how to get something either done or accomplished or finished as a learning situation. Her bread that she made on a Saturday was quickly eaten throughout the weekend fortified our family in moments and times when things were bleak or at the point of breaking but yet we could sit down and share a hot meal and we were able to understand that with her care consideration and love she always meant every single thing that she did .Her sense of purpose , family, pride, how she felt after the day was done was always shared at the dinner table and reflected upon as what was good what was horrible and what could be changed in the next 24 hours after we talked about it.

Having raised two children mostly on her own in the 1970s she was married to Everett R Stark of Prosser Washington and preceded in death by him in 1994. And then thereafter was married to Roger Cook of Lewiston Idaho. They both enjoyed quite a bit of time with Rogers pursuit of classic Chevys and going to local Car Shows and swap meets.

I'm talking on Mom's behalf stating that she cared about each and every person that she spoke to or was a part of their lives during Her lifetime.

Grace Stark-Cook will be sadly missed in the communities of Lewiston Idaho ,Prosser Washington, and the Farming township of Whitstran WA,where she was a strident and active member of her community on a daily basis.

Grace's mother Violet Ingals Doll, was a direct family descendant from Laura ingalls Wilder in South Dakota.

When Grace visited Wall Drug pharmacy in South Dakota she stood next to her great-grandmother Laura ingalls Wilder portrait and had a very proud sense of accomplishment of family heritage and progression of her lineage on into the world.

Great Stark-Cook is survived by her son John Stark of Sharpsville Pennsylvania, Melanie Flesland and Stuart Fleisland of Colbert Washington, Stuart Fleisland Jr and Morgan Flesland, Kyrstyne Grace Martinez of junction City Kansas. Tami,Logan and Ryan Snarr of Lewiston Idaho .

Anyone wishing to do something in memory of mom please take the time to plant a rose in your home garden. Her favorite was a Mr Lincoln red hybrid Tea Rose... Donate your time effort and energy to public service your local boys and girls club or anyone that you feel is in need of actual help Mom would want you to do that.
