Obituary: In Loving Memory of Grace Ellen Honegger
Grace, beloved wife of John Emil Honegger Jr., peacefully passed away on April 18 2024 at Faith Presbyterian Hospice, She was 88 years old.
Born on December 31 1935 in Denver, Colorada, Grace was the daughter of Geoge and Marie Brown. She grew up in Grand Prairie, Texas where she developed a passion for gardening and football. She attended Grand Prairie High School and later pursued work in the financial industry, specifically becoming a loan officer.
Throughout her life, Grace was known for loving her children, grandchrildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren and helping others anytime she could. She touched the lives of many with her kindness, generosity, love and compassion. She will be remembered for her self-sacrifice and never give up attitude.
In 1958, Grace married John Emil Honegger Jr. and together they were married for 43 years until John's passing in 2001. They were blessed and survived by 2 children, John Honegger III and wife Mary, Jayson Honegger Sr and wife Telice, 5 grandchildren, Jayson Honegger Jr., Brandilon Ojeda, Jennifer Rangel, Stephanie Honegger, April Rey, 7 Great Grandchildren, Asher Goodwin, Nicholas Razo, Lizzette Ojeda, Merian Rozaliah, Bryden Miller, Ariana Cerrillo, Janette Miller and 3 Great, Great Grandchildren, Alaya Lee, Ava Lee and Kaine Lee who brought immense joy into her life. She is also survived by a brother, Grady Brown.
In addition to family, Grace leaves behind a legacy to the Epilepsy Foundation, American Cancer Society and she enjoyed the State Fair Musicals, Grand Prairie High School and Oklahoma Sooner Football. Her memory will forever be cherished by family members, friends, and community members.
The loss of Grace will be deeply felt by all who knew her. Though her physical presence is no longer with us, her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us.
A celebration of life to honor and celebrate the life of Grace will be held on June 2nd 2024 from 3pm to 6pm at Tony Shotwell Life Center, 2750 Graham Street, Grand Prairie, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Epilepsy Foundation.
May she rest in peace, knowing her impact will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
Grace's journey in this world may have come to an end, but her memory will endure forever in our hearts and she is now in the hands of God.
