She loved making Pot Roast, Shepherd's Pie, Spaghetti, Lasagna, her famous Green bean Casserole, and various homemade soups with veggies.
Mom loved her music. She mostly played KLTY 94.9 Christian music station in the car. When playing other music, In particular, her favorite was Amy Grant, Elvis Presley, then Billy Ocean, Heart, INXS, Robert Palmer, Kenny Loggins, 00Glenn Frey, Huey Lewis and the News, Hall & Oates, The Go-Go's, Cher, Genesis, Michael Bolton, George Michael, Bad English, Annie Lennox, Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Tina Turner, Sade, Sinead O'Connor, Sting, The B-52'S, and Duran Duran.
Mom loved to sing and dance. She used to be the tambourine lady at church, with it decorated in ribbons. It was red and gold. She would parade up and down the aisle dancing and singing to the Lord. It was her way of worshipping.
Gift giving. It was her love language. She made sure to show her love of gifts to everyone. She loved making floral arrangements too as a way to gift her friends and loved ones.
Hard to say. Mom never really got to travel as much as she would have liked to. She did mention Hawaii though and really liking it there. She also went to Vegas a few times and shared some great memories with her friends.
Mom liked her TV. She really liked her crime shows like CSI. She also like Supernatural, Roswell, Star Trek and her Christian channels. She also loved watching HSN.
Mom wasn't into sports really but would watch dancing shows and ice skating sometimes.
Mom grew up in Memphis, TN and was the oldest of five children. She later moved to Texas in her 20's with her best friend Jan. She got her real estate license and began working, managing apartment complexes. From then, she was in the legal field as a paralegal working in all the downtown buildings in downtown Dallas, Texas. Her specialty was litigation. She had two daughters, her oldest daughter, Tiffany Summitt, and her youngest, Chanel Smith. Goldyn has six grandchildren; Kessa, Kailyn, Leahna, and Conner and two from Chanel's marriage to Ronnie Smith, Ryan and Paxton.
