Gloria V Bennett, affectionately known as Sista, passed away on July 31, 2024, at the age of 64. She was born on October 24, 1959, in Stony Brook, NY, and most recently resided in Riverview, FL.

Sista dedicated her career to the Brookhaven National Laboratory, where she made significant contributions in her field. She was a woman of strength and determination, never backing down from a challenge. Her favorite quote, "Be careful how you treat people; karma never misses!" reflected her belief in treating others with kindness and respect.

Among her proudest accomplishments were adopting a child, facing her fears, and exploring the world through travel. Sista embraced life with a loving and caring spirit. Her impact on the lives of others was immeasurable. She was always there to lend a helping hand to those in need, whether they were friends, family, or loved ones. Sista's home-cooked meals were legendary, and her voice resonated in the church choir, bringing comfort and joy to all who heard her sing. She actively participated in various church events, showcasing her generosity and dedication to her faith.

Sista is survived by her beloved daughter, Tweety, also known as Sasha Hamilton. She was a cherished member of her family, leaving behind her parents, Rashawnda and Lewis Bennett; siblings Tabatha Resse, Phyllis Morris, and Marita Powell.

Gloria V Bennett, Sista, will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering support will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched. Rest in peace, dear Sista.
