was at his happy place up at camp behind River Valley where he spent most of his time with family, friends and great neighbors over the 27 years he's been there.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter who loved being part of his group on the Island. He was also a longtime member of the Hunters and Anglers Club in Verner where many great friendships were formed for a life time.

Was a people person who Knew how to bring people together for a good time and was a social butterfly whistling his way around like to announce his arrival.
Gilles Michel Côté, lovingly known as Poun, passed away peacefully at an undisclosed date. He was born on August 10, 1951, in Verner, to his parents, Louis Côté and Cécile Beauparlant.
Gilles's proudest accomplishments included being the first to show his grandchildren, Scott Poulin, Bianca Poulin, Zoé Pelletier, and Cassy Pelletier, the ropes to anything he could. He cherished spending time with his family, friends, and especially his beloved grandchildren.
Gilles had a favorite place in the world, his happy place up at camp behind River Valley. Over the course of 27 years, he created cherished memories with family, friends, and great neighbors in this special place.
He had a passion for fishing and hunting, which led him to become an avid fisherman and hunter. Gilles was a proud member of the Hunters and Anglers Club in Verner, where he formed enduring friendships.
Gilles was a people person with a unique superpower of bringing people together for a good time. He was often referred to as a social butterfly, whistling his way around to announce his arrival.
Gilles is survived by his children, Crystal Côté-Poulin (Stephan Poulin) and Lana Côté-Pelletier (Denis Pelletier), as well as his siblings: Lorraine, Norman (Suzanne), Roy (Joe) (Sharon), Daniel (Lori), Michel (Bidou), and Rhéal (Gisèle). He was predeceased by his brothers, Guy (Huguette) and Maurice (Louise).
Gilles Michel Côté will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. His warm smile, generous heart, and love for his family and friends will forever be cherished. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
