Gerard Bernard Kenselaar Jr., fondly known as G, was born on September 15, 1950, in Trenton, NJ. He made his home in Garland, TX, where he cherished the moments spent with his family and his beloved dog, Sparky. Gerard was a loving and caring individual, known for his intelligence and sense of humor.

A proud Marine, Gerard served his country with honor, a source of pride that remained with him throughout his life. He enjoyed a successful career as a restaurant manager, where his passion for food and service shone brightly. He had a particular fondness for spaghetti, ice cream, and tiramisu, often relishing meals out with his family.

Music was a significant part of Gerard’s life; he loved to sing and was an avid listener of Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen, as well as jazz. His family will remember him for his beautiful voice and his enthusiasm for music, which often filled their home with joy.

Gerard's family included his beloved wife, Graciela Kenselaar, and their children: Cynthia Garcia, along with her sons Marco and Jason; and Dylan Kenselaar, who is married to Andrea. He was also a proud grandfather to KodiEllen and BraciAnn. He is survived by his sister, Roberta Kenselaar.

One of Gerard’s favorite places was Jamaica, where he found peace and happiness. He loved football and embraced life with a motto that always brought a smile: "Hey squirt!" He will be remembered for his loving nature, smart insights, and the laughter he shared with those around him.
