Our beloved father, grandfather, and friend, George Mercer, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. He was 77 years old.

Born and raised with a strong sense of duty and work ethic, George began his career working on the railroad, where he developed a lifelong respect for hard work and perseverance. In his early 20s, he proudly served his country by joining the military, a chapter of his life that instilled in him the values of discipline, service, and integrity.

A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, George lived his faith through quiet acts of kindness and service. His strength, humility, and unwavering love shaped generations.

He is survived by his six children—Lisa, Jessica, Mark, Dave, Ryan, and Beth—each of whom carry forward his legacy of compassion and resilience. He was a cherished grandfather to Carrie, Buck, Travis, Amy, Kristi, and Liz, all of whom adored their “Grandpa” and will hold his stories and wisdom close to their hearts.

He will be remembered for his warm smile, gentle heart, and the stories he shared about a life well-lived. Though we mourn his passing, we take comfort knowing he is reunited with loved ones who passed before him and continues to watch over us with love.

A funeral service will be held at a later date disclosed to close family.
