George Benjamin Keller II, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on June 14, 2024, at the age of 85. Born on July 13, 1938, in Kankakee, IL, George spent most of his life in Bradley, IL.
George had a zest for life and a passion for his favorite hobbies. He could often be found grabbing a ball and mitt, playing catch or going to the batting cages with his kids and grandchildren. He was an avid collector of memorabilia and enjoyed immersing himself in old vinyl records. George's wife's homemade spaghetti and meatballs were his favorite dish, and he never failed to savor every bite.
Elvis Presley was George's favorite musical artist, and he loved listening to his melodies. He was also a fan of TV shows like NCIS, Jeopardy, and Wheel of Fortune. George had a deep love for the Chicago Bears and cheered on his favorite team with enthusiasm.
Professionally, George was a dedicated member of Local 498 International Chemical Workers Union, serving for 29 years at Aventis Behring (Amour). He took pride in his work and made significant contributions to his field.
George cherished spending time with his family and sharing his collection of memorabilia and old family photos. He loved telling stories that would captivate his children and grandchildren. Graduating from Governors State University with an Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts was one of his proudest accomplishments.

On June 8, 1963, George married the love of his life, Irene Keller (Cote). They shared 61 beautiful years together, creating a lifetime of memories. George is survived by his beloved wife Irene and his siblings Joann Perkins and Donna Keller. He was preceded in death by his parents, George B. and Doris Keller, as well as his siblings Robert Keller, Claude (Eddie) Keller, Sharon Reed, Donald (Dean) Keller, Homer (Butch) Keller, and Doris Schott. George was also preceded in death by his grandchild, Ryan Keller.
George leaves behind a beautiful legacy in his children: George Keller III, Gregory Keller, Kevin Keller, Diana Keller (Jeff Voss), Lance Keller (Danielle). He will forever be remembered and deeply missed by his grandchildren: Krystal Keller (Austin McGuire), Brent Keller (Kristina), Shawn Keller (Nichole), Amanda Keller, Kyle Keller (Samantha), Kevin Keller Jr., Zachary Zoltani-Keller, Joe Keller, Clayton Keller, and Memphis Keller. He also had the joy of being a great-grandfather to Tessa Donnelly, Corbin McGuire, Maeleigh McGuire, Mackenzie Keller, Mattie Keller, Joseph Keller, Greyson Keller, Gentry Santos, Liam Fournier, Lilly Fournier, Logan Fournier, Kaden Keller, and Amelia Keller.
George Benjamin Keller II will be remembered for his love, his stories, and his zest for life. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
