George Allen Murphy, 79, of Virginia Beach, VA, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2025. Born in Brooklyn, New York, on April 26, 1945, George was a proud New Englander at heart, known for his unwavering loyalty to all New England professional sports teams.

A dedicated and hardworking man, George continued to work well into his later years. He owned and operated a small antique store in Virginia Beach, where he shared his love for history, storytelling, and timeless treasures with everyone who walked through the door. His shop was more than a business—it was a reflection of his character, filled with charm, nostalgia, and warmth.

He is survived by his three beloved sons, Scott Murphy, Shawn Murphy, and Ryan Murphy, as well as seven cherished grandchildren who brought endless joy to his life. George also leaves behind several nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly for his humor, stories, and big heart.

A Celebration of Life will be held in George’s honor on April 15 at 1:00 PM at Beach Memorial and Cremation Services in Virginia Beach, VA. Family and friends are invited to gather and share memories of a man whose presence brought warmth, laughter, and love to those around him.

George will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
