Obituary
Geneva Montgomery Fanuiel was born in Abbeville LA and raised in Port Arthur TX. She attended Sacred Heart Catholic School and then moved to Houston TX and got her Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Education at Texas Southern University. After graduation she began teaching elementary school in H.I.S.D. where she went on to teach for 43 years and retired in May of 2007. She lived a very fulfilling and happy life until around May of 2024 when she was diagnosed with dementia. Even after diagnosis; she was always in good spirit and a very humble soul to be around. As the dementia progressed ; she fought it until the very end. She is survived by 2 sons.Louie Carl Harlan Jr. and Robert Stevenson Harlan. Grandchildren: Asti Fisher and Tavis Fisher, Eric Gilford, Juwan Anderson,Cedric Griffin,Zachary Jones and Robert Daevion Harlan
