Gelasius-Christopher M. Morgan, fondly known as GG, was born on November 20, 2003, in Royal Oak, Michigan. He passed away on August 29, 2024, in South Bend, Indiana, where he had most recently resided. Gelasius-Christopher was a dedicated student with a passion for learning and a bright future ahead of him.
From an early age, Gelasius-Christopher displayed a zest for life and a deep commitment to his beliefs. He was known for his love of reading, meditating, exercising, and praying, all of which nourished his spiritual journey. Raised in the Roman Catholic faith, he later embraced Islam, reflecting his open-mindedness and quest for understanding.
Gelasius-Christopher was a community activist, passionately involved in organizations such as BlackLivesMatter South Bend, the Palestinian Liberation Movement, and advocating for Universal Healthcare. His unwavering spirit and dedication to social justice showcased his stubborn yet loving nature, earning him the respect of his peers and community members.
He is survived by his mother, Leslie Morgan; his father, Jenario Morgan; and his sister, Gabrielle Morgan. Gelasius-Christopher's confident demeanor and challenging spirit were matched only by his deep love for those around him. He often expressed his philosophy of life with the saying, "There are two Truths, that which exists and that which you believe," a testament to his introspective nature.
Though his time with us was far too brief, Gelasius-Christopher M. Morgan leaves behind a legacy of love, activism, and a commitment to truth that will be remembered by all who knew him.
