Gary Wayne Zaiontz took the Lord's hand and journeyed to his eternal rest on October 14th, 2022.

He was born January 5th, 1971 to Lorine Foster and Gilbert Clifford Zaiontz in San Antonio, Texas. He was raised and lived on the east side of San Antonio most of his life. He attended and graduated from St. Gerard's High School in 1989. For a brief time, he lived in Cleveland, Ohio. He found a passion early on for music and started his own band called Joker's Wild Band with some friends. He left Joker's Wild Band and with co worker Billy Hanson formed a new band called Lone Strangers. He also participated in a house karaoke band called The Machine. He also discovered a passion for guitar building and soon after, started building his own custom guitars, of which he had several.

In 1997, he married Allison Sodke. A year later, they welcomed their only son, Patrick Garrett Zaiontz into the world. Gary loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing and he and Patrick enjoyed many successful fishing excursions together. He did some hunting, as well. He also loved the beach and virtually any body of water. His most favorite place was Lake on the Hills, near Canyon Lake, TX.

Gary is preceded in death by his father, Gilbert Clifford Zaiontz. He is survived by his son Patrick Garrett Zaiontz, his mother Lorine Foster Zaiontz, sister Shirley Zaiontz Boucher and brother Ronald Zaiontz.

A memorial service and celebration of life for Gary will be held at 3 pm on Monday, October 24, 2022 at 2616 Jupe Drive in San Antonio.
