Gary loved Scrapple. His siblings would often bring it when they would visit from Philadelphia.
Gary was born in a cold, windy day in December over 65 years ago. He was the last of 8 children and was brought home to his Brookline home where he was raised until his parents relocated to Towson, Maryland. Being the youngest of eight had it's advantages. He was Mom's favorite. He had several nicknames. "Peach pie"( because he was so darn cute) "Gears "( because he liked to tinker with cars), and a few we won't mention. We grew up in a large family neighborhood, and had many great neighbors. Gary got along with everyone and everyone loved Gary. Moving to the Towson area Gary then attended high school. He was rarely ever sick, so when he was diagnosed we were all so shocked. He was predeceased by his parents , Mike and Stella Gallagher, wife, Lynn, children Dan and Janna, sister,Patsy, and brother, Terry. He will be sorely missed by sister, Diane Davis, brother, Richard Gallagher(Ann), sisters Kitty Ferry,(Joe),and Mickey Bissell (John) brother, Michael Gallagher (Sue), and over 20 nieces and nephews.
His family. His wife , Lynn and his children, Janna and Danny.
Havertown was his favorite place in the world as he had many, many happy remembrances there.
He loved all sports but mostly football. He was torn between the Baltimore Ravens and the Philadelphia Eagles.
A celebration of life will be held in the fall of 2025, with details to come.
