Gary passed away unexpectedly on July 30th of 2023. He was 63 years old at the time of his passing. Up until his teenage years he lived in the state of Michigan to then he moved to the state of ohio. Where he then graduated highschool and met his spouse judy Wertz, who he was with for 30 years. He then enlisted in the U.S army for two years before he was honorable discharged. After that he became a union carpenter where he worked for more than 35 years. Gary enjoyed the little things in life like fishing and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents John and Dorthy Greenlund.

Gary is survived by his two sons John greenlund (Shelby Hamner) and Kirk Wertz (Madison Wertz). Also his 6 grandchildren, Noah, Alyvia, Kaiden, Dallas ,River and Magnolia. He also has his one brother John and two sisters, Barb and phoebe.
