Gary L. Williamson, age 67, of Northport, Ala., (mobile alabama) passed away peacefully at home on october 25 2023. Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00pm Friday, October 27th 2023 at Magnolia Chapel North. Graveside services will be held on Saturday October 28th 2023 at Campground UMC Cemetery in Samantha with Bro. Glen Kennedy officiating.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James L. and Wilma Williamson; and brothers, Ronnie and Doug Williamson.

Survivors include his daughter, LeighAnne (Mike); sister, Becky Long; grandchildren, Jamison, Mikaela (Blake), Jacey; great-grandchildren, Skyla, Mason, and Kasyn; sisters-in-law, Teresa and Annette Williamson; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Gary grew up in Northport, Ala. He was a retired electrician from Uniroyal Goodrich. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, sitting on his back deck, and his annual beach trips. He will always be remembered for his fish fries and Christmas parties where he was the life of the party.

Daddy always gave the best advice and told me when things were tough to push through, “because it gave me character”. Well, this is the ultimate test, so I hope I do him proud. I will always be his little girl.

Pallbearers will be Brian Sullivan, Jamie Sullivan, Cliff Terry, John Reed, Jody Long, Edwin Williamson, and Beau Nelson.

Honorary pallbearers are Jeanette, Walters, friends of Scooter’s Lounge, friend and neighbors of Lake Sherwood, current and former employees of Uniroyal Goodrich, Melissa Ratliff, Larry Bluejacket and family, April and R.C. Barley, Debra Baines, Tommy and Sandra Sullivan, and special friend and caregiver, Connie Redd Burt.
