Gale was stationed at USAF RADAR STATION 1958 689TH AIRCRAFT CONTROL& WARNING SQUADRON MT.HEBO TILLAMOOK,OREGON. Gale was then stationed at USAF RADAR STATION 1960 623rd AC&W OPERATIONS CENTER OKINO ERABU JIMA,JAPAN Gale also worked for our family business driving log truck,skidder,falling trees ect. BENSON LOGGING was established in 1946 to 1968 when Gales dad founder of business passed away Gale Herbert Benson.1968. Gale also worked for Sun Studs from the early 70S to 80's as a heavy equipment operator building Logging roads Gale worked along side his little brother Jerry Benson also a heavy equipment operator for Hanna Nickle Mine.

After Gale was discharged from the USAF IN 1963 Gale met a sweet girl named Hazel Griggs they married in 1964 in Winnemucca,NV they lived in Winston,oregon and started a family..Hazel already had 2 daughters from a previous marriage,Lorie Jean Newell & Terri Joann Newell.Gale & Hazel had 2 children boy Sparky Dwayne Benson on April 10th, 1966 and a daughter Renee Rochelle Benson May 21,1967.they divorce 1969. Gale remarried in 1970 to Cristine Castricone also gone by the name Dean.Gale and Dean had 2 children a Boy Ruben Gale Benson on December 9,1970 and a daughter Anna Marie Benson on December 17th,1971.they too had divorced. Gale dated Audrey Laux for 12 years never married she passed away from cancer on October 4th 1990. Gale met his wife Anna Marie Delume by getting introduced by Audrey Laux,Anna was Audreys caregiver.. Gale and Anna married in 1991until Anna passed away on May 29,2010. Gale in 2015 was shopping at Lowes in Roseburg oregon when he caught eye of one of the workers,he asked her if she would like to see his dog bella,she said yes and love story begain this sweet lady who lived one street away from his home in Winston,oregon, her name is Debra Gardner they married on July 4th 2015.Gale and Debra made a home together for 8 years until Gale passed away at home from Cancer of the bladder on May 27,th 2024.

Gale had to go get licensed to operate heavy equipment which was funny because he had been running heavy equipment pretty much all his life..Gale and his Brother Jerry were working at Hanna Nickle mine at that time and went to school in Eugene to get licensed for operating heavy equipment..Both passed with fling colors.
