Freddie Weston, affectionately known as "June," passed away on September 4, 2024, at the age of 47. Born on June 15, 1977, in Brooklyn, NY, Freddie spent his life in the vibrant community he loved so dearly. He was the proud father of his son, Davell Smith, who was the greatest joy of his life.
He is survived by his siblings Sutina Wilson, Lenice Weston, Cedric Weston, Derrick Weston, Renee Johnson, and Debbie Johnson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews, all of whom will carry forward his loving spirit.
Freddie was known for his charismatic and charming personality, traits that made him the life of the party and a beloved friend to many. He shared strong bonds with six brothers from another mother—Damien, Shug, Spliff, Mel, Mills, and David—who filled his life with laughter and camaraderie. He cherished his family and friends above all else, always bringing people together with his humor and confidence.
An avid sports enthusiast, Freddie had a passion for baseball, basketball, football, and NASCAR. He found particular joy in attending games at Mets Stadium, which he considered his favorite place in the world. In his downtime, he enjoyed playing video games and watching his favorite TV show, The Big Bang Theory. Music also played a significant role in his life, with his favorite rapper being Biggie Smalls.
Freddie was a hardworking individual who contributed to his community. He worked at Buckingham Inc., making fiberglass for buckets, he was also a cashier and stock person at Dick's Sporting Goods. He was known for his generous spirit, volunteering at Chow to help those in need.
Freddie's proudest accomplishment was being a father to Davell, and his legacy will live on through the love he shared with everyone around him. His favorite saying, "You Already," encapsulated his confident approach to life. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for the joy he brought into the lives of so many.
