Frances "Fran" Simmons, born on October 19, 1942, in Charleston, SC, passed away on January 31, 2025, in her hometown. Fran spent her early years working on a farm, which laid the foundation for her strong work ethic. Fran was married to Herbert B., and together they created a loving family that included three daughters: Deborah Simmons, Cynthia Simmons, and Denise Simmons. She cherished her role as a mother and later as a grandmother to LaQuana, Travon, Syreeta, Jason, Nakitah, Isiah, Shaynah, Timothy, Dexter Jr., Quincy, Jaden, and Lalah. Fran was also a proud great-grandmother to Travis, Cydney, Jordan, Lyric, Kennedy, Mason, Cairo, Ramiro, Christian, Nasir, Celine, and Royal.

In addition to her immediate family, Fran is survived by her siblings, Henry Allen and Tony. Her love for her family was matched only by her passion for keeping up with current events, often enjoying CNN News as one of her favorite pastimes.
