Retired educator, having served as a teacher for thirty years

Marriage

Married her college sweetheart L. C. Aman, and they shared 60 wonderful years together prior to his death in 2000

Volunteer work

Lifelong member of First United Methodist Church, Delta Kappa Gamma, Victoria Retired Teachers Association and served her community in numerous volunteer activities over the years

Survivors

Daughter, Sally Aman Barnes and husband, Mark Barnes of Victoria, son, David Aman Sr. of Warner Robins, Georgia. Grandchildren David Aman, Jr. and wife Joy, Dirk Aman and wife Christian, Ryan Murry and wife Aimee, Nathan Barnes and Katherine Barnes. Great-grandchildren Wyatt Aman, Avery Aman, Bladon Aman and Tatum Murry. She is also survived by nieces, great nieces and nephews and many loving friends

Funeral arrangements

Visitation held 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Sunday, February 28, 2010 at Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral Services held 3:00 pm Monday, March 1, 2010 at the First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Marilyn Roeder officiating. Burial followed at Memory Gardens Cemetery
