It is with profound sadness we share the passing of Fiona Aileen Wagner, born on September 4, 1973, passing away on September 27, 2024, in Burlington, Ontario.

To Fiona’s family … Fiona is survived by her Mother (Jutta), her Brothers Christian and Gordon (Josephine), her devoted Caregiver (Kay), her cousin Deanna (Brian), her nieces Lyndsie (Patrick) and Katie (Shean), her Godson (Markus), her nephew (Magnus), her Sister-In-Law (Cindy) and many more in her extended family.

Fiona was deeply passionate about the spiritual-world and her belief system, which often included meditation, prayer, yoga, or other rituals that would foster her inner growth and awareness. Fiona was an outstanding and talented athlete, always excelling in many sports, especially with her passion for basketball and soccer.

Fiona was a “foodie” and loved experimenting with recipes in her own kitchen and she equally enjoyed social dinners, finding great joy with company and conversation. Fiona loved spending quality time with her family, keeping with family traditions and making memories, especially the shenanigans with her brothers.

Above all, Fiona idolized her Mother. Kindred-spirits always providing unconditional love, trust, traditions, heartfelt conversations, laughter, daily phone calls, outings and much more. Fiona and her Mother will forever hold a ‘Mother-Daughter’ bond like no other.

To Jodi and Shirin … There are not enough words to express our gratitude for your kindness and support in Fiona’s life and more so during Fiona’s last several months. Your love and caring always made her dark days brighter. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

To Barb and Gail … Thank you for always stepping up to the plate when Fiona needed you most. Whether it be the car rides, the appointments, meeting with her medical team, picking up groceries or cooking a meal … you were there! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Thank you to all of Fiona’s family and friends for your unwavering support. Thank you to Carpenter Hospice in Burlington, Ontario, for always actively caring for Fiona empathetically, with encouragement and guidance.

A private gathering will be held to honour the life of Fiona.
