Fernando De’Jesús Rivera, affectionately known as Ferni, was born on August 17, 1991, in San Jose, California. He passed away on November 16, 2024, in Austin, Texas, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and inspiration.
Ferni was a devoted family man, cherished by his wife, Stephanie, and his two beloved sons, Damien and Joseph, who were his pride and joy. He is also survived by his father, Fernando Sr., his mother, Juana, his brothers Juan and Kevin, and his sister Karyme.
A talented painter, Fernando had a gift for bringing color and beauty into the world. He was known for his remarkable ability to excel at everything he pursued, earning the admiration of friends and family alike. His vibrant personality made him the funniest and most entertaining person in any room, and he had an innate ability to connect with others.
Ferni's passion for soccer extended beyond playing; he dedicated his time as a youth soccer coach, impacting the lives of many young athletes in his community. He loved nothing more than gathering with family over a plate of tacos while enjoying episodes of his favorite TV show, The Big Bang Theory.
His favorite place in the world was California, where he found joy in the sun and the ocean. Fernando's love for football and his infectious smile made him a beloved figure among his friends and family. He will be remembered as everyone's favorite person, a true shining light in their lives.
