In Loving Memory of Fernandez Chico Woods

​Fernandez Chico Woods, a beloved father, brother, and man of steadfast faith, passed away on September 9, 2026, at the age of 69. Born on May 3, 1957, Fernandez lived a life marked by hard work, profound resilience, and the beautiful grace of a second chance.

​A proud graduate of Westinghouse High School, Fernandez spent much of his career on the road, dedicating over 15 years of hard work and service to Roadco Trucking.

​Fernandez’s life story is a powerful testament to redemption and personal strength. Though he faced genuine struggles and battled with drug use during a chapter of his life, he refused to let those challenges define his conclusion. With immense courage, he fought to get himself together and, in 2018, fully turned his life over to Christ. This spiritual awakening brought him clarity, peace, and a renewed spirit, leaving behind a legacy of triumph and faith that his family will forever admire.

​He is survived by his two devoted sisters, Penny Woods and Toni Woods. His memory and legacy will live on through his sons: Fernandez Chico Woods Jr., Shawn Woods, Pythian Woods, and Christopher Woods.

​Fernandez will be deeply missed and warmly remembered for the miles he drove, the mountains he conquered, and the unwavering faith he ultimately found. May he rest in eternal peace.
