Eva Lynn Morrison is survived by her husband, Merrill Morrison, and her three children, Scott Bowden, Eric Bowden and Kimberly Bresee. Eva enjoyed being outside surrounded by mother nature. She loved all her animals… horses, cows, dogs, cats and even the occasional alligator in the bathtub. She cherished her everyday life spent on the ranch with her husband, Merrill, her “Alva Country Gentleman” of 24 years. They enjoyed spending time together while admiring everything the great outdoors had to offer. Eva and Merrill enjoyed growing their faith at Alva Methodist Church where they actively joined bible study and VBS. As friendships blossomed, no Wednesday was complete without Eva and her girlfriends catching up over lunch as she adored the “girl” time. Every year, many would gather for her favorite day of the year. No, it was not Thanksgiving or Christmas, but annual “Derby Day” also known as our religious holiday. All who attended would show off their big hats and no derby day was complete without a spread of homemade horse cookies. She loved that the kitchen was the heart of her home. Making delicious meals was her passion that she shared with all of her children and grandchildren. The conversations and stories that would emerge from this quality time in the kitchen was priceless as well as some of the dishes… chocolate sheet cake and the famous green jello. Eva was loved by so many and her memory will live on in all of those she knew.
