Erwin Jones, also known as Big E, passed away on March 27, 2024, at the age of 71. Born on November 8, 1952, in New Orleans, LA, Erwin most recently resided in Houston, TX. He was a laid-back individual who enjoyed spending his time fishing, cooking, and watching TV, particularly his favorite show, Saints Football. Music by Stevie Wonder resonated deeply with him, and he cherished his hometown of New Orleans as his favorite place in the world.

Erwin worked for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and took pride in his career achievements. He believed that "your word is your bond" and lived by this motto. He considered his proudest accomplishments to be his wife, Andrea, and their children, Wynter, Hali, and Macy, whom he loved dearly.

Erwin will be remembered for his wisdom and the positive impact he had on the lives of others through his presence. He was an active member of his community, feeding the homeless and being a great neighbor. Erwin held non-denominational religious beliefs.
