His children and grandchildren
Ernest received his early education at Epiphany Catholic School and graduated with honors from John McDonough High School. He continued his studies at Delgado Community College and Southern University at New Orleans. He honorably served his country in the United States Coast Guard and went on to dedicate 14 years of service to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, retiring as a Chief Inspector.
Ernest served God in all that he did throughout his life. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he found joy in life's simple pleasures. He was known for his remarkable ability to fix anything, his love for the New Orleans Saints, and his passion for gardening, hunting, and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Maxine Armistead Dearman; 3 daughters: Donna Hall, Deoshia Long and Dawn Goodman; 2 sons-in-law: Cliff Hall and Mark Goodman and 6 grandchildren: He was also loved and will be missed by his nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Ernest is celebrating in heaven with his parents, Rev. Ernest and Eva Dearman; 3 brothers and their wives: Wade (Egie) Dearman, Aven (Marvene) Dearman and Ernest (Gerry) Dearman; his daughter, Debbie Wilson; his son-in-law, Gary Wilson.
Lovingly known as "Creeper " "Uncle E" and “papa Ernie” Ernest will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
