Erna Lou Chittenden, born on January 18, 1931, in Wichita, Kansas, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2024, in Mesa, Arizona. A dedicated registered nurse, Erna spent her career caring for others with compassion and kindness. She was married to Gordon Chittenden, who preceded her in death.
Erna is survived by her beloved sons, Mark Chittenden, born in 1958, and Scott Chittenden, born in 1962. She also leaves behind her brother, Wayne Zimmerman, and sister, Karen Zimmerman, who will cherish her memory.
Known for her love of television, Erna enjoyed watching Hallmark Channel, Wheel of Fortune, and Jeopardy, as well as being a devoted fan of Phoenix Suns basketball. Her warm spirit and nurturing nature will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
