Erica Tristen Gurley, 38, a beloved mother, daughter, partner, sister, friend, cousin, and niece, passed away on January 23rd, 2025. Born on January 1st, 1987, in Birmingham, AL, to the late Joe Gurley and Denise Tarwater and her loving step-father, Kennie Garrison. Erica's vibrant spirit touched the lives of all who knew her.

Erica's infectious laughter and warm smile could light up any room. She possessed a rare ability to make everyone feel seen, heard, and cared for, always offering a listening ear and a comforting presence. Her kind heart and Southern charm endeared her to all, and her absence will be deeply felt.

Erica cherished her role as a devoted mother to her two sons, Tyler and Braxton, her caring mother, Denise Tarwater and her loving step-father, Kennie Garrison, her two loving sisters - Erin and Sabryna Gurley, her devoted partner - Chris Ahl, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and loving friends. She was preceded in death by her father - Joe Gurley.

Erica’s legacy will live on through the countless memories she created and the positive impact she had on those around her. She was always there to offer support, guidance, and unconditional love. She will be deeply missed by this family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
