Erica Taggart, beloved mother, wife, and friend, passed away on May 31, 2020, at the age of 41. She was born on July 10, 1978, in San Diego, CA, and most recently resided in McHenry, IL. Erica was the epitome of kindness and had a passion for lifting people's spirits.
In her free time, Erica enjoyed indulging in her favorite foods, including angel food cake, Mexican food, and Chinese cuisine. She had an eclectic taste in music, with favorite bands and artists such as The Counting Crows, The Nixons, Mac Miller, and J. Cole. Erica found joy in being a mother and cherished her four children, Christopher, Emma, Chase, and Grayson.
Known for her non-judgmental nature, Erica was always supportive and never saw the negative in others. She valued love, loyalty, honor, and respect and lived by the motto of doing what's right and not taking any nonsense from anyone. Erica's proudest accomplishment was being a mother, and she loved nothing more than spending time at home with her kids.
Aside from her family, Erica touched the lives of many with her open-mindedness, honesty, and trustworthy nature. She had a remarkable ability to boost people's confidence and help them love themselves. Erica will be deeply missed by her mother, Stephanie Collins, her brother, Ryan Dolin, her other brother, Sean Nemec, her children, Emma, Chase, Grayson, and Christopher, as well as her niece, Cailin.
Although Erica didn't watch much television, she found joy in sports, particularly track and field. Her favorite place in the world was at home with her children, creating cherished memories.
As Erica's loved ones bid farewell, they remember her as a beacon of light, always reminding others to never lose hope. Her legacy of kindness and self-acceptance will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in eternal peace.
