Emma Lou Richardson, born on September 16, 1940, in Pelzer, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2026, in Jacksonville, Florida. She was the beloved daughter of the late Lewis Albert McCoy and Ruby Lee Simpson McCoy Jennings.

Emma is survived by her daughters, Melissa Richardson and Tracy Richardson Son Timothy Richardson; grandchildren, Leanna "Michelle"Richardson, James Richardson,Robert Richardson,Steven Richardson, Elisabeth Richardson and Matthew Richardson and her great-grandchildren Ashley ,Thalia, Isrrael, Marco, Christian, Ethan, Alexandra, James Jr,Scott, Juan, Caylee, Luke, Jaxon, Gabriella, Great-great grandchildren Luis,Noelia,Cadence,Sergio,and Sebastian She is also survived by her siblings,, Buddy McCoy of Mauldin, South Carolina, Charles McCoy of Simpsonville, Joyce Bailey of Travelers Rest, South Carolina, and Lewis Albert McCoy Jr. (Lynn) of Greenwood, South Carolina. along with many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to her parents, Emma was preceded in death by her late husband Ralph Richardson her son Michael Richardson her three sisters, Francis McCoy,Christine Shackelford and Carolyn McCoy Whitted and one brother, James McCoy

Emma was a woman with a loving heart who cherished her family above all else. She found immense joy in spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Emma had a passion for life’s simple pleasures and was known for her care-free spirit and nurturing nature, she always ensured that others were cared for and felt loved and appreciated

Her memory will be treasured by all who knew her. May her legacy of love and kindness continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
