Elvis Moore, affectionately known as Big Elvis, passed away on May 13, 2024, at the age of 67. He was born on January 4, 1957, in Memphis, Tennessee, and was a longtime resident of Millington, Tennessee.

Elvis dedicated 37 years of his life to working at Memphis Light, Gas, and Water, where he made a significant impact as a dedicated employee. He lived by the motto, "As long as you do your best, that's good enough for me," and always strived to give his best in everything he did.

One of Elvis's proudest achievements was his role as a father and grandfather. He cherished his sons Elvis Moore Jr. and Keith Moore and adored his grandchildren. Family was of utmost importance to Elvis, and he worked tirelessly to provide and care for them.

Elvis will be deeply missed by his mother, Edna Moore, his brother Tony Moore, his sisters Linda Moore and Loretta Moravian, and the entire extended family. His defining personality traits, such as his strong work ethic and genuine concern for others, left a lasting impact on the lives of those who knew him.

In addition to his contributions to his family, Elvis also served as an MLGW representative for United Way, showcasing his commitment to the community and his desire to make a difference in the lives of others.
