Obituary

On February 12", 1952, God gifted Eloise Long Emerson to her parents Dorothy Taylor and Clifford Long Sr, (both parents preceded in death), Eloise was born in Jones OKlahoma, where she took her place as the 5th child amongst her 8 siblings Garfield Wilson Sr (Wife Doris Both Preceded in dewth) Albert Lee of Oklahoma, Iola- Antwine (Bishop) of Louisiana, Clifford Long (Preceded in death, Charles Long (Proceled in death), Larry Taylor (Precoded in death (Michelle) of Louisiana, Georgetta Taylor of Indiana, and Edward Taylor Jr

Ella graduated from Wichita Heights High school in Wichita Kansas and went on to have a fulfilling life. Ella was married to Robert Emerson, she has 3 amazing sons Antonio Long Sr. Of Atlanta Georgia, Von Long (DaLisa) of Derby Kansas, and Keith Emerson of Nevada.

Through her sons Ella became a grandmother (her endearing name being maw-maw) of 10 loving grandchildren Vontez, Keasia. Chavie (Eric). Aijalon, Gabrielle, Antonio (Lil Tony) Jr, Johnathan, Alivia, and Evan. Ella has 9 great-grandchildren with 3 still baking. Ella also has 4 loving bonus grandchildren De Aires Vincent Jr, Samuel, and Kymani. E1la was blessed to raise her loving nephews and nieces Antronette, Raquel, Darrell, Tawasha, Rachel and Christopher.

Ella belonged to Street Choppers Motoroycle Club she enjoyed traveling through the years with the club. Ella enjoyed music when she heard Bigg Robb, Sir Charles, or Johnny Taylors Slow Rollin the party was going to be on and poppin! Ella's three BFF's were Doris Lawson (preceded in death) Sister in- law Doris Wilson (preceded in death) and Candyce Portley. Both Doris's and Candyce kept her in good spirits and in good trouble whether it was through traveling, shopping, going to river festival or talking on the phone until the batteries died. lla loved these ladies, and they loved her dearh

Family was important to Ella, and she made sure she was always around family. Ella knew no strangers and touched the lives of many through her tough love, her motivating talks, her famous award-winning chili, her peach cobbler, or her love of the casino and bingo. Either way Ella was going to get you straight and show you a good time all on a full stomach. If you knew Ela, you were not a friend you were family. She made sure no one was ever exdluded or ever went without. Ella leaves behind a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

Ella retired from Walmart with over 25 years of service. Right before retirement Ella was blessed to adopt her beautiful daughter and miracle Jasmine Long-Emerson. When Jazzy was born, she could fit in the palm of your hands. The odds were against Ella and Jasmine due Ella's age and Jasmines' special needs, but God said my will is done! Jasmine was the joy and the strength of Ella's life and a Testimony of how Love can heal the unhealable. Jasmine was never meant to survive, but God knew Ella's big loving heart was the answer to heal Jasmine into the sassy teenager she is today. God showed out with Jasmine and Ella's Testimony showing their resilience and trusting in the power and miracles of God! Ella became a member of St. Matthew CME church where she was active and loved helping when she could with the homeless feeding ministry and with the youth Usher board that her daughter Jasmine is a part of.

Ella always talked about her Father in heaven and made it very clear that she loved the Lord with all her heart. Ella made sure that Jazzy knew her father in heaven as well. Ella would always thank God for sending Jasmine as an angel here on earth to watch over her. Ella's phone was set up to alert her for prayer every day, when Jazzy would hear the alarn, she would say" Mommy Jesus is Calling". On April 13, 2025, Eloise Long Emerson's F ather in heaven and his son Jesus called her home to spend her eternal life in her Father's Kingdom.
