Elvis
Her favorite place was anywhere she and her love, Dan Heathman, were together. Whether they were fishing in Golden Meadow or sitting on beach chairs at Orange Beach, as long as they were together.
Man From Snowy River
She was a Cosmetologist or Beautician as she was called back in the 1960’s.
Ellen Malbrough Heathman, born May 3, 1943, to Jennette Hebert Malbrough Thibodaux (d) and Druby Malbrough (d) of Bayou Dularge, LA., passed away May 17, 2024, in Covington, LA. She was married 58 years to the love of her life and best friend, Danny R. Heathman. She had two daughters, Yvette Jane (d) and Danelle Nores (Robert). She had five grandchildren, Jennifer Billeisen (Brandon), Shelby Stegelmann (Kurt), Macyn Heathman, Renee Hostetter (d), Scotty Callais (Amanda). She had three step-grandchildren, Katie White (Evan), Victoria Gosselin (Bobby) and Bobby Nores, Jr. (Braelyn). She had (6) step-great grandchildren as well.
Ellen dedicated her life to serving God when she was 10 years old in 1953. Even at that youthful age, she knew right from wrong. She lived her life as a Godly woman teaching countless others His Word. She shared her hope in the resurrection to a restored paradise here on earth which Jesus taught his disciples to pray for at Matthew 6:9.
Ellen loved to sew, crochet, read novels, fish in Golden Meadow, cook for family and friends, and dote on her grandchildren. When it came to fishing though, she always caught the most or the biggest fish because Dan always put her in exactly the right spot! They were the best of friends and He promised before he married her that he’d always take care of her; and He did just so.
All will sadly miss her because she touched so many lives. May we all strive to live by the example she set. Truly, she “loved thy neighbor.”
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 25th at 2:00 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Abita Springs, LA.
