Obituary
Ellen Katherine Clark, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away on January 22, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on April 18, 1934, in St. Louis, Missouri, Ellen was affectionately known as "Momma Ellen" to her family and friends.
Ellen was a nurturing spirit who found joy in cooking for family events, often delighting her loved ones with her signature dish, red beans and rice. Her heart was always open, and she dedicated much of her time to helping those in need, embodying her favorite saying: “Get on yo feet and do what he created you to do baby.”
She is survived by her loving husband, George Lee Clark, and her children: Jesse Lee Clark, Ivory Lee Clark, Pamela Clark, Johnny May Clark, and Gary Antonio Clark. Ellen was a proud grandmother to Jesse Jr., Chanesse Chambre Clark, Jaleigha Charae Clark, Octavious Jordan Clark, Ciera Ivory Clark, Showers Clay Clark, and Brad Clark.
Ellen leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness, cherished by her family and all who knew her. Her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched, especially her great-grandbabies, who brought her immense joy.
