Ellen Jean Hendrickson, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away on June 8, 2024, at the age of 72. She was born on June 17, 1951, in Bloomsburg, PA, and resided in Danville, PA.
The daughter of the late Robert and Mildred Gearhart Moodie, Ellen found joy and fulfillment in her favorite hobbies, especially crafting, collecting antiques, and farmhouse decor. Her creative spirit shone through her various projects, and she took great pride in her collections.
Professionally, Ellen worked as a dedicated house cleaner, leaving each home she touched with a sense of cleanliness and order.
Ellen is survived by her loving daughters, Shelley Hendrickson-Eveland and Shannon Hendrickson, both of Shamokin. She was also a cherished grandmother to Chay Eveland, Joseph Eveland, Mathew Staib, Marion Ulrich, and Lisette Burgos. Her great-grandson, Rowan Eveland, brought immense joy to her life.
In addition to her immediate family, Ellen is survived by Gerald Hendrickson Shamokin, her sisters, Barbara Kolenda of VA, Elizabeth Heeter of Danville, Deb Lewis of Danville, and her brother, Gary Moodie of Danville. She also leaves behind her son-in-laws, Joseph Eveland and Warren Pillgreen, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Ellen Jean Hendrickson will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will continue to inspire and bring warmth to those whose lives she touched. May she rest in eternal peace.
