She loved to watch NBA Lebron James and Micheal Jordan play basketball, as she used to play as well.
Fry Fish, French fries, pizza, hot dogs, apple pie, blueberry pie, lemon pie, German chocolate cake, upside down Pineapple cake, Cheese Cake with Strawberry, Sweet Tea or Lemonade, BBQ from Kings, Ham & Cheese Hot Pockets, Hamburgers, and Triple decker Ice Cream Sandwich.
She loved music by Mahalia Jackson, Rance Allen, Dottie Peoples and Shirley Ceasar.
She was a hand-full.
She loved her Husband, four children, grandchildren, family, friends and church, dearly.

For I was broken and brought low, but he answered me and came to my rescue! Psalms 136:1 NLT. Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever. Psalms 147:14 ESV. He makes peace in your borders; he fills you with the finest of the wheat.

With a very heavy heart and soul, Mother Elleen Abrom White has transition in life, as she entered into the arms of our Lord & Savior on 5/13/25.
Mother Elleen White was born in Grifton NC on 1/14/1935, or Pitt County to parentage of the late Roland Abrom and Helene Cannon Abrom, both preceded in death.
Married to husband: Russell Thomas White (RIP 9/19/2001) on 12/25/1954, preceded in death.
Mother of four children:
1. Thomas Earl White (RIP 10/25/21)
2. Barbara Carolyn White (Oldest daughter)
3. Edward Maury White (RIP 8/4/1984)
4. Gwendolyn Evette White (Youngest Daughter, Caregiver, POA/M and Executor)

Today, we united in prayer as we reflect on the life of Mother Elleen White, 90 years old, originally from address 2781 Highway 58 N, Trenton NC 28585 but moved to Raleigh NC with her daughter Gwendolyn E. White after Hurricane Matthew 2016 and Florence in 2018 until transitioning in life.
Graduated from: Jones County School System after leaving Frank High School.
Professional Career History:
1. Dobbs Farm – Prison, retired 15 yrs.
2. Morrison Training School - Prison, retired 20yrs.
3. Albany Shirt Factory, retired after 9 years.
4. Trenton Shirt Factory, retired after 3 years.
5. Retirement in 1996.
Church member of since 1954: Haughton Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, where she worked as a member on the Usher Board, assisted her husband with the Trustee Financials and was Honorary Member of the Mother's Association by Dr. Anthony Mitchel.
Mother Elleen White has been through a lot over the years; however, God is the keeper of our mind and soul, even in times of grief and sorrow. Mother White was a joker, loved to laugh, enjoy life, cook and loved her family even when her family left her.

The Homegoing Celebration and Funeral Services will be held 1pm at Swinson & Swinson Funeral Homes in Kinston NC.
The Burial will follow in the Haiti Cemetery located in Trenton NC.
