Elizabeth Bracy Jenkins Cochran, affectionately known as "Sis," passed away on August 12, 2024, in Birmingham, Alabama, at the age of 93. Born on March 22, 1931, in Burkville, Alabama, Elizabeth lived a life devoted to her God, family and community.

Elizabeth accepted Christ at the early age of 12 at The Canaan Hill Primitive Baptist Church in Burkeville Alabama, she later joined the St. Peter Primitive Baptist which she remain a member until her death. Elizabeth was a faithful devout Christian throughout her life.

As the ultimate homemaker and mother, Elizabeth was married to the late Reverend Prince Jenkins Jr. and took immense pride in raising her seven children: four sons, Daniel Jenkins (deceased), Preston Jenkins (Jeraldine), Timothy Jenkins (Denise), and Joseph Jenkins (Charlotte), along with three daughters, Princess Blaylock, Toni Eubanks (Carl), and Cynthia Ray (Robert). Her legacy continues through her eleven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

Elizabeth was known for her passion for cooking and gardening which reflected her nurturing spirit. She loved nothing more than preparing delicious meals for her family and friends, creating memorable moments around the dinner table. Her guiding life motto, "A good run is better than a bad stand," inspired many who knew her to embrace life with enthusiasm and resilience.

She is survived by her beloved sister, Mary Ann Ford, who cherished their bond throughout the years. Elizabeth’s warmth, love, and dedication to her family will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to know her.
