In Loving Memory of Eleanor Theresa (Keeshan) Liberg
February 10, 1953 – April 29, 2025
Eleanor Theresa Liberg, affectionately known as "Elly," passed away peacefully on April 29, 2025, in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, at the age of 72. Born on February 10, 1953, in Brooklyn, NY, Eleanor’s life was a testament to love, generosity, and unwavering devotion to family.
Eleanor’s warmth and kindness were evident to all who knew her. She was the kind of person who would “literally give you the shirt off her back,” always ready to lend a hand and offer support. Protective of those she loved, Elly’s nurturing spirit created a haven for her family and friends.
Eleanor is also preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Wayne Liberg. They were one another’s lives; always together doing their favorite things like fishing, crabbing, going to concerts, and being with their children and grandchildren. Their love was a constant presence and continues to inspire those who knew them.
She is survived by her two children, Dylan (Shawna) Liberg and Corina (Michael) Roman; her beloved grandchildren, Annah, Layne, Andrew, and Mollee, who were the lights of her life; and her siblings: Mary Francis (Fran), Patricia (Joe) Vitello, Brenda (Fred) Aleschus, Michael, Sheila “Rosalie” Noe, Janet (Dan) Eicher, and Florence (Albert) Cione. Eleanor also leaves behind a large extended family of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and even great-great-nieces and nephews, all of whom she endeavored to know and love throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Mary (Gallo) Keeshan; her brother, William Keeshan; and her sister, Kathleen Keeshan.
Eleanor’s greatest joy was her family. She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones, especially during holidays and gatherings. To Elly, the best place in the world was wherever her family was.
Her legacy is one of love, compassion, and unwavering dedication to those she held dear. She will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.
