Eleanor loved nothing more than

Mom was the heart of our home. A stay at home mom for our younger years, she raised us children to have the same values as her and dad. Her love for us, overflowed into her grandchildren. Spending time with the grandchildren and great grandchildren were precious moments to her. Anything from snowmobiling with them to cooking big meals for them, put a smile on her face and in her heart. Fishing was one of the many activities mom enjoyed. She was so excited to be the one with us to catch our first fish. Mom’s last fishing trip was with her granddaughter Jessica and great granddaughter Sadie. This was while she was sick and just after her first major fall. Mom had a finger splint on and when she cast her line, the splint flew off, into the river. Sadie told everyone that Great Granny’s finger went down the river. Mom told that story to so many people ! Mom would sit for hours putting puzzles together. Some of her last hours in life were spent doing puzzles with Sue. Sue would work on it at night after mom went to bed. Mom would take it apart in the morning. Besides her family, mom had one main love and its name was bingo. I never realized how much it meant to her until I started going with her when she could no longer go alone. The joy and excitement she expressed when she won said it all. Every Sunday night at 8:00 PM, you would find her by the phone waiting for Gerry’s call. It brought so much joy to her to be able to hear about his week and tell him about hers. As mom would say, “ just a minute now, don’t rush me”…..life is too short and we did not have enough time with you. Mom, you will forever be in our 💞
