Obituary

Elder Wayne Terrell Galloway Sr was born to Cassell and Ola Mae Galloway, a precious gift from God and the sixth of seven children. From an early age, Wayne carried a quiet strength and a gentle spirit that naturally drew people to him. Wayne had a God given ability to bring calm, understanding, and unity wherever he was present.

Wayne was a strong man of faith, committed to the Lord with unwavering belief and bold holy confidence. His faith was not just spoken, it was lived daily through his walk, his character, and his compassion for others. He trusted God fully and leaned on Him in every season of life. Wayne’s life stood as a clear testimony of God’s grace, reflecting humility, kindness, and a deep love for people.

He was compassionate, caring, and giving, always eager to serve and to help wherever a need arose. Wayne had a heart for feeding others—both physically and spiritually—and he found great joy in making sure people were cared for. He never hesitated to help, often giving quietly and generously, expecting nothing in return. His willingness to pray for others and extend kindness in simple yet meaningful ways reflected the love of Christ working through him.

Wayne had a warm heart and an inviting smile that could brighten any room. Those blessed to be in his presence experienced sincerity, peace, and genuine care. He took up space not with noise or pride, but with love, faith, and a servant’s heart. His life mirrored the teachings of Christ—loving others, walking humbly, and trusting God completely.

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.”

— 2 Timothy 4:7 (KJV)

Wayne leaves to cherish his memories: his sons Wayne (Dominique) Galloway Jr, Gary Galloway, Timothy Galloway, and David Galloway. He leaves his siblings Sherrol (Elder James) Lawson, Linda (Asar) Turner, and Randy C. Galloway. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and a multitude of loved ones, church family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cassell and Ola Mae Galloway, his brothers Cassell “Bobby”(Ella) Galloway, Jr., Elaine Galloway Boyd, and Kelvin (Olivia) Galloway.
