Riding his Harley
Spending time with his grandkids
Edward Heim, known affectionately as Ed, passed away on October 3, 2024, just weeks shy of his 72nd birthday. He was born on October 19, 1952, in Philadelphia, PA, and most recently resided in Hanover, PA.
A retired professional, Ed was a loving husband to Charlene Heim and a devoted father to his three children, Ellen Larkin, Patricia Schrader, and their cherished grandchildren, Neona, Leonnah, Larkin, and Anastasia. His proudest accomplishments were his children and grandchildren, with whom he treasured every moment spent.
Ed was known for his love of riding his Harley, often taking long rides across state lines, reveling in the freedom of the open road with the wind in his face. He embodied honesty and love, always being a reliable presence in the lives of his family and friends. Ed often reminded those around him, "You only get one life to live," a motto he embraced wholeheartedly.
He is survived by his beloved siblings, Josephine and Chuck, who will carry his memory forward. Ed's impact on those around him was profound; he had a unique ability to be present—always there when needed. A devout Catholic, he found strength and solace in his faith, which guided him throughout his life.
Edward Heim's spirit will be remembered fondly by all who knew him, as he leaves behind a legacy of love, honesty, and cherished memories.
We'll plant real trees for you in Edward's memory and display your contribution forever.
