Although he had no children of his own, he took great delight in his nieces and nephews, taking them to the movies, stealing their Easter baskets, and supporting them at all family events.
He fell ill at the end of his life and was lovingly cared for by his favorite nurses, Bonnie, Hazel and Kraig. He fought hard to stay here and wanted nothing more than to eat again and be home. His brother, Alex, and his nieces Erica and Mara never left his side. He passed away peacefully and surrounded in love.
Edmund Agredano, affectionately known as Chiquilin, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2024, at the age of 82, surrounded by love in Moorpark, California. Born on March 8, 1941, in Jerome, Arizona, he was the beloved son of Gilberto and Angelina Agredano.
Edmund dedicated much of his life to his career as an inspector at Northrop Grumman, contributing to significant projects, including the B52 bomber. He was known for his intelligence and kind-hearted nature, always prioritizing the needs of others before his own. His gentle demeanor and old-school gentlemanly charm made a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to know him.
A man of varied interests, Edmund found joy in restoring old cars, watching college football—especially cheering for the Cardinals—and indulging in scary movies during October's spooky season. He had a deep appreciation for R&B and opera, and could often be found enjoying a good meal, especially his mother’s cooking, Mexican food, and his brother Alex’s famous mole. His favorite shows included Dateline and the Twilight Zone, reflecting his curious mind and love for storytelling.
Though he never had children of his own, Edmund took immense pride in his nieces and nephews, cherishing every moment spent with them. He delighted in taking them to the movies, playfully stealing their Easter baskets, and being their unwavering supporter at family events. His family remember him not just for his actions, but for the exquisite warmth he brought into their lives.
In his final days, Edmund faced illness with remarkable strength and dignity, always showing concern for those around him. He was lovingly cared for by his favorite nurses, Bonnie, Hazel, and Kraig, and was never alone, with his brother Alex and nieces Erica and Mara by his side. His last words were simple yet profound: "No, I’m hungry," and "I love you."
Edmund is survived by his siblings, Alejandro, Lilith, Alfredo, Beto, and Marta, as well as his nieces and nephews: Erica, Sonia, Alex, Daniel, David Agredano, and Mara and Marisa Landa. His legacy of kindness, strength, and love will continue to resonate within the hearts of all who knew him.
