She liked football and loved Tom Brady. She was also a fan of college sports.
She was unapologetically herself. She oozed authenticity.
Ebonè Chavis, born on July 22, 1988, in High Point, North Carolina, passed away on October 18, 2024, in her beloved hometown. Ebonè was a vibrant spirit, known for her love of life, her passion for fashion, and her impeccable taste in music, particularly her admiration for icons like Kanye West and Beyoncé.
A proud eagle of North Carolina Central University and lover of beauty that also attended cosmetology school, Ebonè made her mark as a government employee while also blossoming into a charismatic podcast personality. Her podcast, "The Mouthpiece," became a platform where she boldly shared her thoughts and experiences, reflecting on her life experiences and opinions. Ebonè was unapologetically herself, with a heart of gold that shone through in her role as a devoted mother to her only child, Romero Chavis.
Ebonè was notorious for her fun-loving nature and her ability to light up any room. She was the life of the party, often accompanied by her playful alter ego, “Keisha.” Beyond her entertaining side, she was deeply sensitive and caring, traits that many may not have seen but were evident in the beauty that shines through Romero. She had a knack for roasting her friends, always bringing laughter with her infectious humor and wild antics.
Survived by her parents, grandparents, siblings, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, Ebonè’s legacy lives on through the countless lives she touched with love and laughter. Her fearless spirit also extended to her advocacy for the empowerment of Black people, a cause she held close to her heart. Ebonè adored football, particularly rooting for Tom Brady, and enjoyed college sports as well.
With her unique blend of authenticity and warmth, Ebonè Chavis will be remembered not only for her memorable encounters with various celebrities but also for the undeniable impact she made in the lives of those around her. Her joyous spirit and zest for life will be deeply missed.
