Earl Louis Irelan Jr., lovingly known as Grizz, passed away on June 24, 2024, at the age of 64. He was born on October 9, 1959, in Fort Huachuca, Sierra Vista, AZ, and most recently resided in Rubyville, Clay Township, OH.
Earl had a zest for life and enjoyed a variety of hobbies. Riding motorcycles, barbecuing, racing cars, painting, and spending time with his family and friends brought him immense joy. His favorite foods were BBQ and Jambalaya, and he loved exploring new places, with Tail of the Dragon in Tennessee being his favorite spot in the world.
In his free time, Earl enjoyed watching TV shows like Alone and Mountain Men, and he was an avid fan of Texas Longhorns football.
Professionally, Earl worked as an Over the Road Truck driver for many years and also loved his role at Pennicial Treatment Center. He was known for his dedication to his work and his commitment to his family.
Earl leaves behind a lasting impact on those who knew him. He was a proud father to his two sons, Michael Shane Irelan and Dustin Irelan, and adored his grandchildren, Michael Irelan, Lydia Irelan, Boaz Irelan, Axel Irelan, Conor Shipp, and Lexi Shipp. Earl is survived by his wife Brenda Irelan of 26 years who lovingly cared for him until his passing his sister Valerie Copas, step-father George, and step-mother Becky Irelan.
Earl's defining personality traits included his stubbornness and always wanting to be right but his genuine care for others. He was always ready to lend a helping hand and had a reputation for being a standup person. Earl was deeply involved in his community, regularly participating in charity rides for Hospice, and Diabetes, loved dressing up as the Grinch for Toys for Tots. He was also an active member of the Creek Riders Motorcycle club and a former member of the Brothers of the Wheel Motorcycle Club.
Earl's impact on the lives of others was immeasurable. Everyone who knew him attested to his kindness and willingness to assist those in need. He will be remembered for his love for his family and his brothers in the motorcycle club.
A celebration of Earl's life by military honors will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Hospice or the American Diabetes Association. Earl's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
This will be Military honors at my father’s house followed by a potluck BBQ anyone is welcome we will be celebrating with what my dad loved the most and that’s eating with his family and Friends
