Reese Peanut butter Cups. I trip to Red Lobster for a bowl of Clam Chowder blended in the bar and as many cheddar bay biscuits as he could get the server to deliver!

He never spoke a word in his life but he created the best sign language and managed to get his point across always!
Lighting up everywhere he went with his smile and a thumbs up!

Dustin Michael Hosmer, lovingly known as Dusty or My Sunshine, passed away on June 2, 2024, at the age of 30. He was born on March 21, 1994, in Puyallup, Washington, and most recently resided in Brush Prairie, Washington. Dustin lived a full life he was born with Spina Bifida and many other medical complications connected to this birth defect. Seattle Children's Hospital helped him get a fighting chance at life.
Dustin was a remarkable individual who found joy in life's simplest pleasures. His favorite hobbies included playing Beach Bubble Pop and Skyping from his Kindle. He also loved playing Uno and he was the champ and always brought laughter and fun to those around him. He also loved the Seahawks mainly because of Russell Wilson and blue and green were his favorite colors. He had a palate for spicy hot sauce on everything and Reese Peanut Butter Cups, but nothing compared to his love for a bowl of Clam Chowder blended in the bar at Red Lobster, accompanied by a generous serving of cheddar bay biscuits.
Music was an important part of Dustin's life, and he found solace and inspiration in the music of Lauren Daigle. Although he never spoke a word, he created his own unique sign language, effectively communicating his thoughts and feelings to others.
Dustin's infectious smile and thumbs-up were his trademarks. He lit up every room he entered, spreading joy and love to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His favorite places in the world were Red Lobster and the beach, where he could fly kites and enjoy the beauty of the ocean.
Dustin is survived by his devoted mother, Lisa Hosmer, his father Timothy Hosmer, his bonus father James Bratager, his brother Danny Hosmer and wife Lindsey Hosmer, his sisters Tiffany Hosmer and Kaitlyn Bratager, his grandfather Raymond Hosmer, his nephews Gio Johnson and Alex Hosmer, and many other extended family members. He cherished his family and brought immeasurable happiness to their lives.
Dustin's impact on others was profound. His unconditional love touched the hearts of all who met him, leaving a lasting impression. He believed in always smiling, and his smile could light up the darkest of days.
In his journey, Dustin received exceptional medical care and support. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the incredible doctors, nurses, medical aids, and palliative care team members at Legacy Salmon Creek Hospital and Legacy Emanuel Hospital. They also express their deepest appreciation to Darren, Hannah, Anastasia, and family as well as the entire staff at Canyon Creek for their love and exceptional care, which enriched Dustin's life.
Dustin's life was a testament to the power of love, tenacity and the strength of the human spirit. His name in Hebrew had the meaning of Valiant Fighter and he never fell short of this! His memory will be cherished, and his legacy will forever inspire those who knew him. As he rests in eternal peace, may we all remember his favorite quote and life motto: "Always Smile and give life a Thumbs-Up!"
We'll plant real trees for you in Dustin's memory and display your contribution forever.
