He was a devoted physician of medicine and psychology. He graduated from Delaware State and Meharry Medical College. Had a residency in Temple University. He was always willing to provide advice to those who reached out to him. He was a staunch Christian and truly loved his family and a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity from Delaware State University.

Dr. Jerome Grose, MD, born on January 3, 1950, in Philadelphia, PA, passed away on September 23, 2024, in Tehachapi, CA. A devoted physician specializing in medicine and psychology, Jerome was well-respected in his field and generously offered advice to anyone who sought his guidance.
Jerome was a proud member of the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity, having graduated from Delaware State University. He spent his career making significant contributions to the community, notably serving as a lead trainer for psychology at the California prison system for many years. His passion for his work was matched only by his love for his family, especially his partner Phana, with whom he shared over 29 years of love and companionship.
A staunch Christian, Jerome found joy in life through his many hobbies. He was an avid art enthusiast, a music lover who played both the flute and saxophone, and he had a deep appreciation for various music genres, having been a member of the 1970 Stylistics group from Philadelphia. He enjoyed reading as well and had a fondness for vegetarian cuisine.
Jerome was known for his playful spirit, often referred to as "Jer" or "Bong" by friends and family. He loved nothing more than to spend time aboard a cruise ship with a casino, enjoying a stiff cocktail. His favorite shows included "The Twilight Zone" and old westerns, which he watched with delight.
He is survived by his loving partner Phana, his daughter, two sons, and several grandchildren who cherished him deeply. Jerome is also remembered by his siblings, Kenneth, Sheila, Felicia, Ramona, Brenda, a host of nieces and nephews. He leaves behind a legacy of compassion, dedication, and love that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him.
