B.A. from the University of Richmond in 1956, Masters of Science from the same institution in 1958, and Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 1963
Career
Taught Biology and Endocrinology at the University of Richmond from 1964 to his retirement in 1996, served as the Chair of the Biology Department from 1985 to 1996, and was elected president of the Virginia Academy of Science in 1984
Honors
Received the University of Richmond's distinguished educator award in 1976

Wife, four daughters and their families, and a sister

Held at Cannon Memorial Chapel on the Campus of University of Richmond at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 17, 2010
