Cerebral palsy
One of the first disabled children in the 1960s to be allowed into traditional classes with non-disabled kids in the Chicago Public School System
Defeated pneumonia in 1994 and conquered bladder cancer twice in the 2000s
Survived by his wife, Laura, his two sons, Christopher and Kevin, his three grandchildren Caitlin, Ben and Melina, his two daughter-in-laws Heather and Lucero, his two nephews, Ben and Mark. He was a brother to Don, and a son to Arthur and Dorothy.
