She was the life of the party, she would throw cookouts and she could sow a little bit too. Mom was a diva She like to show up and show out. Doris treated herself to nothing but the best if she afford it.

Doris L. Carter, born on December 27, 1944, in Baltimore, MD, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2025, in her beloved hometown. She was a vibrant personality known for her warm spirit and love for life.
Doris dedicated many years of her life as a belt worker for Proctor and Gamble, formerly known as Noxell, where she earned the respect of her colleagues and made many friends. Beyond her career, she was the life of the party and loved entertaining family and friends with delightful cookouts. Doris had a talent for sowing and a flair for decorating her home, making her space a warm and inviting place for everyone.
A true diva at heart, Doris enjoyed indulging in life’s pleasures. Her favorite foods included fried chicken, potato salad, and steamed crabs paired with a cold beer. She adored music, particularly the sounds of the O'Jays, Luther Vandross, Isley Brothers, and Patti LaBelle, which filled her home with joy.
In her leisure time, she loved relaxing at home, shopping for great deals, and enjoying her favorite TV shows, including "Gunsmoke," "Sanford & Son," "Matlock," and "Mama's Family." Doris also had a fondness for movies, with favorites like "Vampire in Brooklyn," "This Christmas," "Harlem Knights," Madea's films, and "The Dirty Dozen."
Doris is remembered for her infectious laughter, her generous spirit, and her ability to bring people together. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends, who will cherish the memories of the wonderful times spent with her.
