Doris Jean Freaner-Williams, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2024, at the age of 90. She was born on July 19, 1934, in Washington, D.C., and most recently resided in Highland, MD.
Doris was a woman of many passions and hobbies. She found joy in dancing, attending dinner theater performances, and singing along to hymns while watching church. However, her greatest love was going to the beach with her family, where she cherished the moments spent in the sand and the sound of the ocean waves.
Professionally, Doris excelled as a deli/bakery manager and found fulfillment in her work. She poured her heart into everything she did and always had a smile on her face. Doris was a fighter, known for her resilience, and had a heart that was as big as the ocean she adored.
Doris is survived by her husband, Julian "Wes" Williams, and their children, Beverly Youhouse, Robert Freaner, Bonnie Breeden, Barbara Kinchen, and Deborah Freaner. She also leaves behind her sisters, Janet Parker and Barbara Murtagh, as well as cherished grandchildren and other extended family members.
Throughout her life, Doris had a profound impact on the lives of those around her. Her selflessness and willingness to help others endeared her to family and friends. She will be fondly remembered for her annual beach trips, where she created lasting memories with her loved ones, and her cherished holiday get-togethers.
Doris Jean Freaner-Williams will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her spirit, kindness, and determination will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched. May she rest in eternal peace.
