Donnie Lee Shelton, born on October 30, 1954, in Greenville, SC, passed away on September 7, 2024, in Greer, SC. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, known for his great sense of humor and his unwavering Christian faith.

Donnie was married to Delores Ann Shelton for 43 wonderful years. Together, they raised two daughters, Melissa (Josh) Lanier and Crystal (Eric) Byron. He cherished his role as a grandfather to Anna (Bryan) Turk, Chase (Sydney) Lanier, Anthony Clayton, Blake Fisher, Aubree Lanier, and Alivia Lanier. He was also a proud great-grandfather to Madilyn Turk, Henry Turk, and Brycen Lanier.

A retired carpenter, Donnie took pride in his work and was known for his craftsmanship. He found immense joy in spending time with his family and his beloved pets, Coco and Buddy. Donnie often shared his favorite quotes, reminding those around him that "Jesus loves you and me too."

He was a fan of classic television shows, particularly "Walker Texas Ranger" and "Swamp Man," and found peace and happiness in the Smoky Mountains, which he considered his favorite place in the world. Known affectionately by his nicknames "Screwdriver" and "Red," Donnie's infectious laughter and loving spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
